fzf

Command-line fuzzy finder for everything

4.8 / 5

What is fzf?

fzf is a general-purpose fuzzy finder that transforms how you interact with the command line. Pipe any list to fzf and instantly search through it - files, command history, processes, Git branches, or anything else. Key bindings make it even more powerful: Ctrl+R fuzzy-searches command history, Ctrl+T finds files, and Alt+C changes directories. These work in bash, zsh, and fish. fzf also integrates with vim, tmux, and many other tools. For developers, fzf is one of those tools that seems simple but becomes indispensable. Fuzzy finding removes the need to remember exact names - type a few characters that appear anywhere in the target, and fzf narrows down the matches instantly.
